Bridal Fairs and Events Galore: August

August is just around the corner, and so are fairs. There are a couple fairs in my list month and perhaps, will get invites from caterers holding their food tasting events. Better get those rain boots, sandals or whatever rainy footwear you love, and umbrellas, because we're gonna be out on the weekends - 4 months to go people!

Weddings and Beyond: The Wedding and Debut Expo, NBC Tent

Organized by wedding magazine Weddings and Beyond, W&B The Wedding and Debut Expo 10th Edition  is, as they claim, the grandest Mid-year wedding expo in 2011. I am assuming that there are gonna lots of suppliers in this event to fill one of the largest tent venue in the metro. Pre-register online for free admission. 12-14 August

Kasalan 2011: Ika-Anim na Yugto Part 1, Megatrade Hall 1, 10AM to 7PM

Presented by Events Unlimited, this Filipiniana wedding and events exhibit has been known showcasing Filipiniana-inspired weddings especially with their couture exhibit. Local suppliers are also in the fair (as usual) for inquiries and bookings. Events Unlimited will also be offering consultations, along with other wedding coordinators. 

Of course, like all fairs, we are looking forward the raffle. This year, here are what's in store for the soon-to-be's:

Swan Catering's Grand Food Tasting, The Pergola, Pasay, 12NN to 4PM

I saw this event on FB, and I thought this is a good time to share this event. Here's what's on Pergola's site:

Hizon's Grand Food Tasting, La Castellana, 11AM to 4PM

Here we go again with Hizon's Grand Food Tasting. Well, what should we expect in a Grand Foodtasting event? Free food tasting, inquiry and quotation request, discounts for onsite booking from Hizon's,  La Castellana, and other suppliers joining the event. what else.  Now this caught my attention. On their event menu, aside from the usual things, they have added a cocktail bar and some gourmet bites as starters. First 150 couples book on-site also get freebies from Hizon's. This should be a perfect opportunity to check out Hizon's menu, especially for those who doesn't have caterers yet, plus you get to see some of their set-ups for the couple's table, VIP tables, buffet table and guests'. This will pretty much give an idea how the venue would look like as far as the tables are concerned.

Book at the Library, Filipinas Heritage Library, Makati, 8AM to 8PM

I learned about this event about two weeks ago, when we at TPR got an invite to participate in this event as a supplier. I would really love to join, but right now, Cosa Nostra, work, and school have filled up my plate, that I dont have extra hands to man the booth. So, I guess we will be just visiting our supposedly-venue as guests. The poster says pretty much everything you can expect in the event. Am just not sure if it's readable enough, so here's a summary:

• Tour of all event venues by FHL's event coordinators
• Get tablescape ideas or possible themes for your next event
• Select the suitable menu for your meetings or social gatherings from caterers' menu selection (with food tasting :P)
• Meet your other party needs through the different event suppliers who will be present during the open house.
• Get a free discount voucher, which entitles you to a 15% discount on room rental. An additional 5% discount will be extended to those who will reserve on the day or will book an event that falls on a Monday.

Admission is free of charge. Freebies await the first 100 guests to register. Visit FHL's site for more info.

I learned about this event from one of my sisses in GT (thanks sis Di) when she posted her update on bridal fairs. So I checked on Makati Shang's site for more info, and this is what I've got:
