Operation: Reception | Endramada

Again, this is one of the my uber late posts. We actually have started looking for venues as early as August, a month before the Guin popped the ring out of his pocket and made me cry, and Endramada was one of the first ones we visited.

We found Endramada online, while searching for possible venues in Mandaluyong, since we ditched the idea of getting married in QC. Endramada is situated within the residential community of Brgy Zaniga in Mandaluyong City

We went there at around 5pm, after a meeting with a client in Megamall. We kinda had a hard time getting to the place, because we got off the jeep on Acacia Lane and walked our way looking for F Ortigas. It was okay though. It looks like a Mexican-Spanish villa from outside, just like in the picture! ☺ This could the venue we're looking for... secret, not too obvious... villa. Nice.

According to the caretaker we to talk to during our visit, this roofed events hall can hold up to 220 guests, with enough space for your caterer's buffet table, dance floor and other suppliers. It also has a mezzanine where your technical team can set-up their mixers and control desks. It can also serve as an extension space for your guest tables. They also have an air-conditioned lounge that can be as used as the bridal suite, or changing room for the bride and her entourage before the reception party. Caterers may also find it convenient that this venue has an available pantry where they can prepare the food before serving.

Their rates are really attractive, for a hall as big as this. Actually, it has almost everything we are looking for. No worries about raining during the event, high ceiling, garden-gazebo feel... Venue rental for evening events is 9,000Php, for 7 hours of use, including set-up and clean-up. They have an in-house caterer, but you can bring your own caterer as you pay corkage. The lounge is not part of the rental fee, but can be rented for 1,000Php. They also have technical equipment for rent such as LCD projector, screen, sound system and lights. Most caterers carry these in their packages anyway, so just ask.

The downside though, they only have 4-6 spaces for parking: 2 inside the hall, and two outside, on the street. Since they are in a residential area, they don't have much parking space near the venue. Their staff can direct guests, though, to a nearby parking space about a block away from the venue.

most of their guests use this space for the bridal car, plus one more car, if the bridal car isn't too big. Sorry for the blurry pic, shaky hands ☺

Over-all, Endramada is a nice place. Here's a summary of everything:

• Address: 408 F. Ortigas St, Brgy Zaniga Mandaluyong City
• Price: 7K Php (day event) - 9K Php (evening event), 7 hours of use of the hall, including ingress and egress
• Open to all caterer but with corkage fee
• 10K security deposit required before the event, refundable after the event upon inspection of the venue
• Pros: lounge, semi-rain proof venue (mezzanine is not covered), huge space, house lights are enough for evening events, gazebo/garden feel
• Cons: within the residential area, so loud bands may not be allowed at late night parties; does not have venue signage visible to guests, or directions to the venue from main roads; very few (and I mean very few) parking slots for guests (I don't know where the other parking is, but they said it's just near, about a block away from the venue).
