Bridal Fair and Events Galore: May

It's now the "marry" month of May: summer-spring, flowers, fiesta, and of course, a lot of weddings and fairs to go to. Our ticker tells us that we have 7 months to go 'til Cosa Nostra, and until now, we still have two crew slots vacant. I am sooo crossing my fingers that we get these slots filled, so we can go on with planning Cosa Nostra.

We're now half-way through the year, and there are a lot of events coming up this month. Brace yourselves, ladies and gentlemen, and have those calendars (and cash, checkbooks, and your walking shoes too!) ready, for this month's rundown of fairs and events.

7 - 8 May

Weddings and Beyond: The Weddings and Debut Expo 9th Edition, PICC Forum 

Well, honestly I haven't attended any Weddings and Beyond's fair, but I have received a lot of invites from them. Weddings and Beyond usually launch their issues during the bridal fair, so expect a lot to bring home like free Weddings and Beyond Wedding Directory Magazines, that you can use as sourcebook of wedding suppliers, discounts and freebies from participating exhibitors, and prizes from the hourly raffle draws during the event. There will also be a fashion show showcasing different and accessories from different couturiers, and know about the latest trend in wedding fashion and planning.

8 May

Hizon's Grand Food Tasting, Palacio de Maynila, Malate, Manila, 11AM - 5PM 

Well, what should we expect in a Grand Foodtasting event? Free food tasting, inquiry and quotation request, discounts for onsite booking from Hizon's,  Palacio de Maynila, and other suppliers joining the event. what else. First 150 couples book on-site also get freebies from Hizon's. This should be a perfect opportunity to check out Hizon's menu, especially for those who doesn't have caterers yet, plus you get to see some of their set-ups for the couple's table, VIP tables, buffet table and guests'. This will pretty much give an idea how the venue would look like as far as the tables are concerned.

13 - 15 May

Crystal Weddings by The Legend Villas, Banahaw Hall, The Legend Villa, Mandaluyong, 10AM to 7PM

I just got this email from The Legend Hotels over the weekend. The Legend Villas, one of the fine hotels in Mandaluyong City, will be having an Open House, food tasting and in-house promo for weddings and other banquet socials. This would be a great opportunity to check out the place, do an ocular, taste their cuisine (just so you know, they don't allow outside caterers), and perhaps loot some items or get discounts. We did consider them before when we were still looking for a venue (that's when I found out that they do not allow guests to bring in their own caterer for their banquets). You might also want to check out their rooms for your wedding preps. If we still have time, we might drop by.

14 - 15 May

Before I Do Bridal Fair Series 9, Megatrade Hall 1

VRC Creative Events Management hosts Before I Do Wedding and Debuts Series twice a year, and one of the sought after bridal fairs. 

Aside from the freebies and discounts from the nice list of exhibitors participating in this event, VRC Creatives will also be giving away a 3D/2N stay in 7 Stones Boracay Suites with round trip transfers for 2. 

All you have to do is book a supplier during the event, present your official receipt to the Secretariat's Booth and fill out the raffle coupons. Evey 500Php of accumulated receipts earns you a raffle coupon. When you book on the first day, 14 May, from 10am to 3pm, you get 2 raffle entries per 500 bucks!

The WPPP Photo Congress 2011, Megatrade Hall 3, Megamall

The Wedding and Portraits Photographers of the Philippines is celebrating 10 years of photographic excellence with this year's WPPP Photo Congress. Well, their site doesn't say much about the event, not as much as last year, but I'm sure there will be an exhibit by WPPP members , a photo contest (which will be pre-judged on Day 1) and there must be something juicy to look forward to.

Power Weddings Bridal Fair Year 7, Rockwell Tent, Rockwell Center

I saw this event on Facebook popping on the side bar once in a while. Dubbed as the "Coziest Bridal Fair Ever!",  Power Weddings Bridal Fair continues its tradition of providing the most relaxed ambiance to soon-to-wed couples so that they can take their time getting to know different wedding suppliers and deciding whom to share their wedding day with. As a special treat, Power Weddings Bridal Fair Year 7 will be giving away a Wedding Package to a lucky soon-to-wed couple who gets to register online and actually visit the fair.
