Bridal Fairs and Events: October

The Female Guin is taking this opportunity to update you with events coming our way this month. I'm so sorry I had already missed a week this month. Aside from the two events I missed last week, we still have two fairs, a handful food tasting events and a wedding photography seminar coming up. So, for those who are still out in looking for their suppliers, or want to enjoy covering a wedding, or simply get ideas for your events, check these events out.

14 - 16 October
Kasalan 2011: Ika-Anim na Yugto Part 2, Megatrade Hall 1, 10AM to 7PM

The second installment of Events Unlimited's Kasalan 2011, this Filipiniana wedding and events exhibit has been known showcasing Filipiniana-inspired weddings especially with their couture exhibit. Local suppliers are also in the fair (as usual) for inquiries and bookings. Events Unlimited will also be offering consultations, along with other wedding coordinators.

Of course, like all fairs, we are looking forward the raffle. This year, here are what's in store for the soon-to-be's:
 ○ Overnight accommodation at Balai Isabel
 ○ Overnight stay at Puerto del Sol
 ○ 3D/2N at Pearl of the Pacific, Boracay
 ○ Free membership at Curves Gym
 ○ Gift certificates from SlimmersWorld
16 October
Hizon's Grand Food Tasting, Palacio de Maynila, 11AM to 4PM

Here we go again with Hizon's Grand Food Tasting. Well, what should we expect in a Grand Foodtasting event? Free food tasting, inquiry and quotation request, discounts for onsite booking from Hizon's,  Palacio de Maynila, and other suppliers joining the event. what else.  Now this caught my attention. On their event menu, aside from the usual things, they have added a cocktail bar and some gourmet bites as starters. First 150 couples book on-site also get freebies from Hizon's. This should be a perfect opportunity to check out Hizon's menu, especially for those who doesn't have caterers yet, plus you get to see some of their set-ups for the couple's table, VIP tables, buffet table and guests'. This will pretty much give an idea how the venue would look like as far as the tables are concerned.

Register online to reserve seats for free. You can also call their office at 925.0107. Limited seats available. First come, first serve.

17- 20 October
FPPF Wedding Photography Workshop, FPPF Art Chamber 2, Fort Santiago, Intramuros
This is one event I would really love to go to. May not be a pro, but this Guin is an avid fan of photography, and wish that someday I can also be one them. I guess this workshop is a must-go-to for those photographers, pro, or enthusiasts, (or wanna-be's).
This 4-day workshop covers photographer's etiquette, attire, decorum, equipment and logistics and probably everything you need to know, with topics such as Pre-Nup Photography, Details, The Wedding Ceremony, Pictorials and the business side of Wedding Photography. I guess this should be a complete package, as these will be facilitated by photography instructors Jomel Gregorio and Joe Galian, along with FPPF instructors to help out.

20 - 23 October
Bridal Expo for Southern Brides, Activity Center, Festival Supermall

Here's one event b2b's from the South should try. To be honest, I don't really have much to say about this, but looking at the events they have listed on the poster, I think this is one fair our Southern sisses shouldn't miss:
•  Southern hospitality presented by Hotels, Resorts, Event Venues, Caterers and Food Provider
•  Special showcase on Southern Honeymoon & Holiday Destinations from the highlands of Tagaytay to the beaches of Batangas and coves of Cavite
•  Glam up your wedding day by trial make over from the country's award winning hair and makeup artist and fashion stylists
•  Latest Bridal fashion trends on the runway presented by Southern Based Designers
•  Prizes and lots of surprises for soon-to-weds upon registration their wedding date at the registration counter
